Virginia State Conservation Agencies Choose Zuercher Suite

May 7, 2018

SIOUX FALLS, SD (May 7, 2018) The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries and the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation have selected a complete Zuercher Suite software system for CAD and records, which includes mobile software and fully integrated eCitations that can be used by officers who work remotely across the state.

Key Facts:
• Nearly 300 sworn Conservation Police Officers work for the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, based out of four regional offices across the state as well as the headquarters in Henrico. The officers ‘ primary mission is to enforce the laws related to hunting, fishing, and boating, and protect citizens and property related to those activities. The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation has nearly 100 sworn park rangers that patrol 37 Virginia state parks.
• The agencies’ new software system includes Zuercher CAD, Records, Mobile CAD, Mobile Records, Mapping, and much more. Zuercher Suite was designed from the ground up as a highly configurable, end-to-end public safety software system that shares one master records database. The system is ideal for agencies like the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, where multiple officers may need to contribute data or access related files.
• Employees of the agencies will have instant access to all types of information, including warrants, case files, call for service data, and past citation history, even though they may work hundreds of miles from the closest regional office. Officers can work more efficiently and respond to dispatch calls with full situational awareness, helping them keep the public and themselves safe.
• The new system will allow the agency to submit data directly to the Virginia NIBRS system. The department will also be able to easily use the built-in functions of Zuercher Reporting to run regular and ad hoc statistical reports and built its own custom modules and custom forms to replace paper documents and spreadsheets.
