More Macomb County police agencies roll out interactive crime maps

More law enforcement agencies are working to keep civilians better informed of crime in their community with a new online crime incident map called CrimeMapping. “This is the 21st century of policing,” Shelby Township Deputy Police Chief Mark Coil said. “People want to be informed in real time of what is going on in their neighborhoods. It’s an easy-to-use program that provides transparency to our community.”
