Joint Zuercher System for Cascade County and Great Falls
April 19, 2017
The Cascade County Sheriff’s Office and Great Falls Police Department in Montana have selected Zuercher Suite for a new joint public safety software system.
• Zuercher Suite will replace a six-year-old system from another vendor. City and county officials said the legacy system was regularly failing, plus the agencies were dealing with problems involving both remote access to data and data analysis.
• Great Falls is the county seat of Cascade County, and the third largest city in Montana. Their territories cover an area of 2,711 square miles with more than 81,000 residents. Between the sheriff’s office and police department, services include patrol and investigation, a 9-1-1 emergency center, a secure detention facility, plus civil process service.
• The two agencies undertook a comprehensive national search to find a public safety software company that would not only meet their immediate needs, but also be a valued partner for years to come.
• The agencies will share a full Zuercher Suite system, including Zuercher CAD, Records, Jail, Mobile CAD, Mobile Records, Civil, and more.

“An extensive search was conducted and after a vetting process that included site visits to agencies in the western and southern United States, an in-depth review from both of our agencies’ IT departments, and various technical specification reviews, Zuercher was the only company that could meet our requirements. We look forward to a long and successful partnership with Zuercher for all of our public safety needs.”
Michael Zuercher, Senior VP and General Manager, Zuercher
“Our state-specific approach is a very important part of the Zuercher Suite solution, and Montana has been a focus of ours for many years. We’re very excited to continue our investment in Montana and for the opportunity to serve Great Falls and Cascade County.”
