Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana has selected Zuercher Technologies to provide its TriTech 911 system. The agency has used Zuercher Suite software since 2013 and now will be the first Zuercher Suite customer to choose TriTech 911 for a call processing solution.

A citizen found out about a break-in through the online mapping and provided home video surveillance footage that helped find the truck used in the crime.

St. Paul officers who answered a 9-1-1 call about a newborn baby left at a downtown cathedral were so touched by the infant boy they brought back gifts to the hospital. “In this job you see so much bad in people. Violence, death, and destruction. It’s just nice to have a call like this every once in a while to remind you why you wear the badge,” Sgt. Anderson said.

Police: Suspect dialed 911 while discussing robbery plans

Police in Danville, Kentucky were able to thwart a robbery being planned, when the suspects accidentally called 9-1-1 while parked outside the restaurant discussing how they would carry out the crime. The dispatcher who listened to the overheard call was able to triangulate the call to the vicinity of a restaurant where the police chief was eating dinner.

Anonymous donor gives Mitchell Police Department $10K to hand out

An anonymous donor has given the Mitchell Police Department $10,000 to hand out to citizens. With 28 sworn officers, the South Dakota agency plans to have every officer give at least one $100 bill to someone in need.
